Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 3, 2026

Vizionary Productions, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Budget application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in through a third-party provider (such as Google), we receive your name and email address from that provider.

Project Data

Information you enter into the Service, including budget data, contact information, production schedules, crew and talent records, vendor details, and related project materials.

Financial Account Data

When you choose to connect a bank account or credit card through our financial data provider, Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"), we collect:

  • Account name, type, and masked account number (last 4 digits)

  • Transaction history including dates, amounts, merchant names, and categories

  • Account balance information

We do not collect or store your bank login credentials. Plaid handles authentication directly with your financial institution.

Payment Information

When you make payments through the Service, our payment processor Stripe collects your payment details. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, and device information.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

  • Import and categorize financial transactions for budget tracking and expense management

  • Match imported transactions to existing expense and payment records

  • Generate financial reports and reconciliation data

  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service

  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Plaid Financial Data

We use Plaid to connect your financial accounts to our Service. When you connect an account through Plaid, you authorize Plaid to access your financial data from your financial institution. Our use of information received from Plaid is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Specifically:

  • We only access financial data that you explicitly authorize through the Plaid Link connection flow

  • We store transaction data to provide expense tracking and reconciliation features

  • We do not sell your financial data to third parties

  • We do not use your financial data for advertising purposes

  • You can disconnect your financial accounts at any time through the Settings page, which stops all future data collection from that account

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication), Plaid (financial data aggregation), and Stripe (payment processing). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf.

  • Project Collaborators: Project data is shared with other users who have been granted access to the same project by a project administrator.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is transmitted using TLS 1.2 or higher encryption

  • Sensitive credentials (such as financial account access tokens) are encrypted at rest

  • Database access is controlled through row-level security policies

  • Authentication is managed through secure session-based tokens

  • Financial account credentials are never stored on our servers — Plaid handles all bank authentication directly

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

  • Transaction data is retained to support historical budget reporting and reconciliation.

  • Financial account connections remain active until you disconnect them. Disconnecting an account stops future data collection but does not delete previously imported transactions.

  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Request deletion of your account and personal data

  • Disconnect linked financial accounts at any time

  • Export your project data

  • Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
